Senior Production engineer
Role overview
We are seeking a Senior Production Engineer to lead and optimize our production operations. This critical role will oversee the assembly line, manage the sourcing of parts and equipment, and coordinate shipping logistics to ensure efficient and high-quality product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day operations of the assembly line, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality standards.
- Develop and implement processes to improve production throughput and reduce downtime.
- Source and procure components, materials, and equipment required for assembly, balancing cost, lead time, and quality.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to incorporate design updates into production smoothly.
- Manage inventory levels and coordinate just-in-time deliveries to support production needs.
- Oversee shipping processes to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
- Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and supply chain issues.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing engineering (or related field).
- 5+ years of experience in production, manufacturing, or operations engineering, preferably in a high-tech or hardware environment.
- Proven experience managing assembly lines and sourcing activities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and supply chain management tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
